Connecting your Guard to the subframe:
so long as there is a THICK bolt in the system u are ok, remember running
into a kerb is mostly about shear not compression or extension
I used 8mm bolts dropped down thru holes in the subframe locked with a nylok
and then offer the sumpguard up with more nyloks to hold it in place this means
the S/G is a nuts thickness
lower but the bolts are captive and S/G replacement is much easier
Bolts could be welded in from above if required
You can do oil changes with the S/G in place but the oil from the filter will run around the guard
A S/G makes oil leak tracing confusing as it acts like a drip tray!!!!!
